Backwards Move will Affect Edmonton's Long Term Future

On June 18, 2008, Council voted 7 to 6 to scrap Edmonton's trolley system.  This will destroy a city asset valued at over $100 million and one which would cost close to $300 million to replace if needed to address peak oil.  Administration's own expert testified that we have only 48 years of oil left at today's rate of consumption.
